The Santa’s Arrival parade at Westfield Miranda starts at 10am on Saturday 7 November 2026 from the Fig tree entrance on Level 2, next to The Birdcage cafe. Westfield’s own event page says it ends at Santa’s big red chair on Level 1. This guide is based on the centre’s event, Santa photography, parking and getting-here pages, checked on 27 October 2026. Sydney is on daylight saving time in November, so all times are AEDT.

What time is the parade and where does it start?

Westfield’s event page lists the parade for Saturday 7 November from 10:00am to 11:00am. It says the parade commences at 10am from the Fig tree entrance near The Birdcage cafe. Mrs Claus and “all her friends” are named as helpers, and the page says Santa and his friends will sing and dance their way through the centre.

Step What Westfield says
Start Fig tree entrance, Level 2, near The Birdcage cafe
Route Down past the Apple Store and Allkinds, continuing towards Coles
Then Down to the food court
Finish Santa’s big red chair on Level 1

The page includes a note that upcoming events are subject to change, so look at it again on the morning of 7 November.

What else is on after the parade?

Westfield lists two activities on Level 1 near Bevilles, both running into the early afternoon:

Activity Time Where
Face painting 10am to 1pm Level 1, near Bevilles
Christmas character meet and greet 10:30am to 1pm Level 1, near Bevilles

The event page says the meet and greet is a chance to say hello and get a photo with some favourite Christmas characters after the parade. It also says children must be accompanied by an adult at all times, and asks visitors to stay behind the bollards and not run in the centre.

How do I book a photo with Santa?

The Santa photography set is on Level 1, Centre Court, near David Jones and Bevilles, according to Westfield’s Santa photography page. The sessions are booked online, and the centre says sessions suit different group sizes and budgets. The options are:

  • Family and friends sessions, for families, sports teams, school groups and work crews.
  • Sensitive Santa, a relaxed session for children with sensory challenges. It takes place before stores open, when the centre is quieter, and the page says online bookings are essential.
  • Auslan Santa, for children who use sign language as their main way to communicate. Sessions are longer, with helpers and an interpreter, and online bookings are essential.
  • Pet photography, where dress-ups are welcome and online bookings are essential. The page says there are no walk-ins and that sessions book out quickly.

All children who visit Santa also receive a gift to take home. The pages we read do not show the date Santa photos begin or the prices, so that is listed as not yet confirmed. Use the booking link on the Santa photography page.

If I bring a pet, where do I go?

Pets must be on a lead or in a cage. For a pet session you wait at the designated entrance outside the centre, and a staff member meets you there at your booked time and escorts you to the Santa set. Westfield recommends parking on B1 Green, where no escalators are needed, and gives Stone and Stardust on Level 1 as the entry point. Do not put pets directly on escalators or travelators; carry them, or use the lift. For help with directions or lift access, call the Concierge on 02 9525 6344.

Where do I park for Santa’s Arrival?

The Santa photography page gives Red B1 as the best parking for the Santa set. The parade starts on Level 2, so choose parking on your side of the centre using Westfield’s parking page, which lists these best parking points:

Store or area Best parking
Coles and Fresh Food Blue car park, enter via Jackson Avenue
Food court Blue car park, enter via Jackson Avenue
Big W and David Jones Red basement car park, enter via Kiora Road
Woolworths and Fresh Food Green car park, enter via Kingsway before KFC
Myer Myer rooftop car park, enter via Wandella Road
Kmart Kmart rooftop car park, enter via Kingsway speed ramp

Westfield says it offers 3 hours of free parking to all customers, and Westfield members get 4 hours free with the Westfield app, which the parking page describes as for a limited time. The system uses number plate recognition with no boom gate at entry. If you stay longer than 3 hours, you pay through the app or at a pay station, as of October 2026. Standard rates after the free period start at $4.00 for 3.0 to 3.5 hours and rise to a maximum daily rate of $50.00. Parking is free for customers who enter after 6pm and exit before 1am, and if you leave and re-enter after 45 minutes, the page says you receive additional free time. Valet parking is on Saturdays from 9am to 6pm, with the Valet Lounge in the Green car park.

How else can I get to Westfield Miranda?

Westfield’s getting-here page says Miranda train station is on the T4 Eastern Suburbs and Illawarra line. From the station, exit onto Kiora Road and walk along Kiora Road to the centre. Check Sydney Trains before you leave for line closures and trackwork. There are two bus stops: one at the main entrance on the Kingsway, in front of the Fig tree, and one at the Kiora Road entrance. The main entrance, on the Kingsway near the Fig tree, is also where the parade begins, so the Kingsway bus stop is the nearest to the start.

Taxis: there is a rank at the main entrance on the Kingsway and a second on Urunga Parade. Bike racks are on the Kingsway side, at the Green level car park entry and exit closest to Wandella Road, and near Star Carwash at the Blue car park entrance off Jackson Avenue.

Is it accessible and sensory friendly?

Westfield says it takes part in the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Scheme, and that it holds quiet time every Tuesday from 10:30am to 11:30am with the lights dimmed and the music volume adjusted. It publishes a sensory-friendly map for people sensitive to sounds, lights and smells. The Sensitive Santa and Auslan Santa sessions are separate options that need an online booking. The parade is on a Saturday, so the Tuesday quiet time does not apply to it.

What are the centre’s hours on Saturday 7 November?

Westfield’s opening hours page, checked on Monday 2 November 2026, lists the centre as open from 9:00am to 6:00pm on Saturday 7 November. The parade starts at 10am, an hour after the doors open. On the same page Friday 6 November is 9:30am to 6:00pm and Sunday 8 November is 10:00am to 6:00pm. Check the opening hours page again on the day or call the Concierge on 02 9525 6344, which the centre lists as its contact.
