The Marsdens Law Group Fisher’s Ghost Fun Run starts at 8am on Sunday 8 November 2026 at Western Sydney University’s Campbelltown campus, with a 5km and a 10km race. Online entries close at 11.59pm on Wednesday 4 November, and the course closes at 10am, so you have two hours to finish. Campbelltown is on Sydney time, which is daylight saving time (UTC+11) in November, and every time below is Sydney time.

This guide uses Campbelltown City Council’s Fun Run page, read on 27 October 2026. Our guide to the festival’s parade, Twilight Streets and Carnival covers the festival events that come before the run.

How much does it cost, and when does entry close?

Online entries close at 11.59pm on Wednesday 4 November 2026. The Council’s page says in-person registrations closed at 4pm on Friday 23 October, so online is the way in now. Payment on the day is by EFTPOS only, and no cash is accepted.

Entry type Online and in-person Late registration
Adult (16 and over) $46 $59.50
Child (7 to 15) $34 $46
Family (2 adults and 2 children) $126 Not available
Pensioner $36.80 Not available
Group of 10 or more adults, per person $39 (in person only) Not available

The same page shows a second set of prices in its event summary: $45 for an adult, $33 for a child, $123 for a family, and race-day entries at $57.50 for an adult and $45 for a child. The two sets do not match. We have used the table in the main body of the page, which is the more detailed one, and prices are as of 27 October 2026. Check the price on the checkout screen, or ask the Events Team on 02 4645 4900, before you pay.

Who can run, and can I bring a pram?

The Council says there are 5km and 10km options, so there is a race for every pace. The minimum age is 7 for the 5km and 12 for the 10km. The Council says prams are welcome over either distance. Adults are 16 and over, and children are 7 to 15.

Where and when do I collect my bib?

You can pick up your bib the day before or on race morning. Bring your e-ticket and a valid identity card to collect your bib and a free t-shirt:

  • Saturday 7 November, 11am to 1pm
  • Sunday 8 November (race day), 6.30am to 7.45am

The pickup area is the Courtyard at the School of Medicine Building. Your timing chip is attached to the bib, and the bib must be tied securely to the front of your shirt or singlet. The Council charges for replacement bibs, so do not leave it at home.

How do I get there, and where do I leave my bag?

The Council gives the location as Western Sydney University Campbelltown Campus and Campbelltown TAFE, Narellan Road, Campbelltown 2560. It says the race is 1km east of the M5, and that Macarthur railway station is only five minutes from the registration area. It links to Transport for NSW’s trip planner for the journey. The page does not give parking details, so allow extra time if you drive and check the signs at the campus.

Free secure baggage minding is next to the registration area. Bring your own water bottle; the course and finish line have water stations.

What prizes are on offer?

Medals, trophies and prizes go to the first three men and first three women over each distance, and in each age category. Outright placegetters are not eligible for an age category trophy.

Place 5km 10km
1st man and woman $75 each $100 each
2nd man and woman $50 each $75 each
3rd man and woman $30 each $50 each

The age categories are 7 to 9, 10 to 11, 12 to 15, 16 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 years and over. The team category is scored on the combined times of the first four members to cross the finish line, so a team needs at least four members, and mixed teams are allowed. In the 5km, the largest corporate, open and fitness teams each win $100 each, while primary school, high school, corporate, open and fitness teams compete for plaques. The 10km has plaques for the fastest corporate, open and fitness teams.

Every entrant is in the barrel draw at about 9.40am. If you have already left, the Council says you will be contacted within two weeks. Prizes listed include a $100 Australian Skin Clinics voucher, a Supplement Mart gift box and voucher, and three City Cave Macarthur Square vouchers.

Can I see the results, and what is on at the finish?

The schedule lists line honours, medals and prizes from 10am to 12pm. Results are available from 10am on The Timing Guy’s website, and finishers can download a certificate by typing in their bib number or name. Stalls at the event include Supplement Mart, Club Lime Macarthur, Planet Fitness Campbelltown, C91.3 and Wests Group Macarthur, plus a free photobooth and free Bike n Blend smoothie bikes.

What if it rains?

If there is heavy rain on or close to race day, the Council says it will send a text message, post on social media and update its event page if the race is postponed or cancelled. If the event is cancelled, entrants get a full refund.
