The Camden Christmas Festival is on Saturday 21 November 2026 from 4pm to 9pm in Camden’s town centre on Argyle Street, with 13 items on the main stage and the lighting of the Camden Community Christmas Tree at 8.20pm. Camden Council says road closures will be put in place for the night, but its page does not yet list which streets close. Camden is on Sydney time, which is daylight saving time (UTC+11) in November, and every time below is Sydney time.

This guide uses Camden Council’s Camden Christmas Festival page, read on 4 November 2026. It is the Council’s own event page, and it lists the stage times, the activities and the weather plan. We have not added anything that the page does not say.

What time does it start, and when is the tree lighting?

The festival runs from 4pm to 9pm. The first act goes on stage at 4pm, and the Camden Community Christmas Tree is lit at 8.20pm, between the pantomime and the last act. The page also says Santa will visit, and Santa photos are one of the activities, but it does not give a time for Santa’s arrival.

Who is on the main stage, and at what time?

Time Performer
4.00pm St Justins Catholic Primary School
4.20pm Gledswood Hills Public School
4.45pm Camden Community Band
5.20pm Stamina Performing Arts
5.40pm Spring Farm Public School
6.00pm Rebecca’s Dance Studio
6.20pm Macarthur Anglican Vocal Ensemble
6.40pm Elite Dance Project
7.00pm Camden South Public School
7.20pm Superior Elite
7.45pm StarDust Christmas Pantomime Show (Auslan interpreted)
8.20pm Lighting of the Camden Community Christmas Tree (Auslan interpreted)
8.30pm Dolce Entertainment (Auslan interpreted)

Three items on the list carry an asterisk on the Council’s page: the pantomime, the tree lighting and Dolce Entertainment. The page says an Auslan interpretation service is provided, and the asterisk marks the items it covers. Four of the early and middle slots are primary schools from the Camden area, alongside the community band and several dance and performing arts groups, and the evening ends with the pantomime, the tree lighting and Dolce Entertainment.

What else is there besides the stage?

The Council lists ten activities for the night:

  • Santa Photos by Wests Group Macarthur
  • Facepainting by The Enchanted Trove
  • Gingerbread decorating by The Enchanted Trove
  • Roving performers
  • Christmas bracelet decorating
  • Neon Putt Putt Golf
  • Silent Disco
  • Arcade games
  • Letters to Santa by Camden Library
  • Amusement rides (fees apply)

The page also promises Christmas-themed food, drink and product stalls. The Council says the stallholder expressions of interest have closed and that the full list of stalls will be published shortly, so the stall names are not known yet. Only the amusement rides are marked as paid on the page. It does not say whether the other activities, such as Santa photos, gingerbread decorating or the putt putt golf, are free or have a charge, so check the Council’s page again before you go.

Which roads close, and where do I park?

The Council says only that road closures will be implemented for the event, and it has not named the streets or the closure times on the page we read. The page also links a parking map. The file behind that link is named for the 2024 festival, so we have not used it as the 2026 plan. If you drive, look at the Council’s page again in the days before 21 November.

Question What the Council’s page says
Is Argyle Street closed? Not stated; road closures will apply, streets not listed
Where is the 2026 parking map? The linked map file is named for 2024
Is there accessible parking? Not stated on the page
Is there public transport information? Not stated on the page

What if it rains?

The Council says that in bad weather it will post updates on its Facebook page. The page does not name a wet-weather date or say which parts of the night would move. If the sky looks wet on the afternoon of 21 November, check the Council’s Facebook page before you leave home.

What does entering the festival mean for photos?

The Council’s page carries a photo release. By entering the event space you give Camden Council permission to stream, capture or record, and to use, reproduce and publish photos or other media of you or your child taken during the event.

What is still not known?

Four things are open as of 4 November 2026: the list of stallholders, which roads close and for how long, the 2026 parking map and where accessible parking is, and the time Santa arrives. Every time on the stage list comes straight from the Council’s page.

Who do I contact?

The Council’s festival page did not list a contact number or email when we read it. Use Camden Council’s event page and its Facebook page for updates. For another Christmas night out in the same area, see our guide to the Campbelltown Christmas Carols on 5 December.
