The City of Blacktown has three free Christmas events on its website for 2026: carols with fireworks at Blacktown Showground on Saturday 28 November, a Christmas market at Glenwood on Sunday 6 December, and a festival with carols at Kings Langley on Sunday 13 December. Times below are Sydney times, on daylight saving (AEDT).
This guide uses only the City’s own event pages, re-read on 7 November 2026: Blacktown City Christmas Carols, Glenwood Christmas Market and Kings Langley Festival and Carols.
When and where are the three events?
| Event | Date and time | Place | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Blacktown City Christmas Carols | Saturday 28 November 2026, 5pm to 9pm | Blacktown Showground, Richmond Road, Blacktown 2148 | Free |
| Glenwood Christmas Market | Sunday 6 December 2026, 3pm to 7pm | Alwyn Linfield Reserve, Glenwood 2768 | Free |
| Kings Langley Festival and Carols | Sunday 13 December 2026, 3pm to 9.30pm | Pearce Reserve, Whitby Road, Kings Langley 2147 | Free |
One spelling note: the City’s Glenwood page names the venue “Alwyn Lindfield Reserve” in its text and “Alwyn Linfield Reserve” in its location line. This guide uses the location-line spelling.

What is on at the Blacktown City Christmas Carols?
The City promises a family evening at Blacktown Showground with Christmas songs, live entertainment, food stalls and activities for all ages. Its page lists these activities:
- live reindeer
- food stalls
- a special visit from Dorothy the Dinosaur and Friends
- free Santa photos
- free kids’ activities
- fireworks
The “Food Stalls”, “Market Stalls” and “Stage Program” sections of the page each say only “Stay tuned for more information!”. That means the City has not named the performers, the stallholders or the time the fireworks start. The page gives a 5pm to 9pm window for the whole evening and nothing more specific.

What is at the Glenwood Christmas Market?
The City describes an evening at Alwyn Linfield Reserve with Christmas gifts, handmade treasures and unique finds from local sellers, along with festive music. Its page lists roaming Christmas characters, Christmas gift stalls, free face painting and live festive entertainment.
Two sections on the page, “Food Vendors” and “Parking/Road Closure”, say only “Stay tuned for more information!”. The page also carries a “Become a stallholder!” prompt.

What happens at the Kings Langley Festival and Carols?
The City runs this event with the Kings Langley Lions Club. The festival runs from 3pm to 9.30pm at Pearce Reserve on Whitby Road, and the City lists stalls, stage performers, carols, large rides and emergency services displays. It is the longest of the three events, at six and a half hours.
The “Stage Program” section of the page is empty, so no performer list or carols start time is published yet. The City’s page gives the Lions Club’s village fair convener as the contact for event questions; this guide does not reprint the personal number.

Which event suits which family?
| If you want | The City’s pages point to |
|---|---|
| Fireworks | Blacktown City Christmas Carols, 28 November |
| Live reindeer and free Santa photos | Blacktown City Christmas Carols, 28 November |
| Christmas gift shopping from local sellers | Glenwood Christmas Market, 6 December |
| Free face painting | Glenwood Christmas Market, 6 December |
| Large rides and emergency services displays | Kings Langley Festival and Carols, 13 December |
| The longest evening out | Kings Langley Festival and Carols, 3pm to 9.30pm |
How do I get there?
None of the three pages gives travel, parking or road closure advice yet. The Glenwood page has a heading for “Parking/Road Closure” and says details are still to come. For public transport on the day, check the live Transport for NSW travel alerts before you leave, because trackwork on a weekend can change a train trip at short notice.

Is there a fourth event at Woodcroft?
An earlier search snippet suggested a Woodcroft Festival and Carols in December. The City’s Woodcroft page that loads on 7 November is for an August festival, and the address a December page would use returns “Page Not Found”. Until the City lists a December Woodcroft event, treat it as unconfirmed.
