Clarke Street Beats and Eats is a free two-hour food and music afternoon in the Sunshine CBD on Friday 6 November 2026, from 2pm to 4pm. The Brimbank Events website lists it with Ethiopian coffee, Afghan dishes, free henna body art and Bollywood music. Melbourne is on daylight saving time in November (AEDT), so all times are local times.
This brief is built from that listing, checked on Monday 2 November 2026, and two Brimbank news items. The listing is short, and this guide says where it stops.

Is it a market or a walk along the street?
The listing does not say. It describes a taste of what Clarke Street already sells, from the arcade to the grocers, plus music, henna and a pop-up park, rather than naming stalls or a stage. It does not name an organiser, list performers or give a programme. Check the Brimbank Events page in case it adds detail before Friday.
What is the pop-up park?
The Beats and Eats listing mentions “the new pop-up park” without a location. A council news item published on 28 October 2026 describes a new community pop-up space in Clarke Street, opened by the Member for Laverton, Sarah Connolly, and Mayor Cr Virginia Tachos. The council says it has tables and chairs, large umbrellas and planter boxes, plus local art by Dawit Dersolign and Nam Nguyen (Namchops). It says local music and entertainers will play there between now and March next year. The council does not link that news item to the Beats and Eats listing, so treat the two as probably the same place, not as confirmed.
The space is part of the Victorian Government’s $7.5 million investment in the Sunshine Station Masterplan, which the council says is aimed at turning Clarke Street into a cultural and community hub. The same news item says consultation is open on the future look and feel of Clarke Street, and that upcoming works will improve the space outside Sunshine Library on Hampshire Road, with added lighting and new artwork.

How do I get there, and where do I park?
The listing gives no transport or parking information, so none is given here. Sunshine has a railway station and a bus station, shown in the photos on this page for orientation only. The page does not say how far either is from the event, or whether any part of Clarke Street is closed to traffic. Check Public Transport Victoria for a journey plan.

What else is on in Sunshine this month?
Brimbank’s events site also lists the Festive Fun Day in Sunshine on Sunday 29 November and the Rolling into Sunshine skaters outside Sunshine Library in early December. Both are covered in the Brimbank Christmas guide.

What is still unconfirmed?
- Who is running the event; the listing names no organiser.
- Whether Clarke Street is closed to traffic, and any parking or public transport advice.
- Which stalls, businesses and performers will take part, and the music schedule.
- Whether the pop-up park in the listing is the Clarke Street community pop-up space the council opened in late October.
- Wet-weather plans.
