If you are going to Iron Maiden at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on Wednesday 18 or Thursday 19 November 2026, the venue lists a 6:30pm ticketed start, and Translink’s list of November evening closures on the Shorncliffe line does not include either date. Parking costs $18 per visit, card only.
This guide uses the Brisbane Entertainment Centre event page, the venue’s Getting Here, FAQs, Conditions of Entry and Accessibility pages, and Translink’s notice on Evening track closures – Shorncliffe line, read on Monday 2 November 2026. Brisbane is on Queensland time (AEST, UTC+10), which has no daylight saving.
What time does Iron Maiden start?
The venue’s event page gives the dates as Wednesday 18 and Thursday 19 November 2026 at 6:30pm, marked “time subject to change”. Under Event Times it says “Ticketed start time is 6:30pm. Please be aware that times are subject to change.” The page names TEG Dainty as the presenter. It does not give a gate-opening time, set times for either act or a finish time.
Because the page names a guest act, the 6:30pm ticketed start is the time the evening begins, not necessarily the time Iron Maiden walk on stage. The venue does not say how long Megadeth will play, so treat 6:30pm as the time to be in your seat or on the floor. The venue says event information is emailed to the registered Ticketek purchaser about 24 hours before the show, so look for that email on Tuesday 17 or Wednesday 18 November. The venue’s FAQs say the box office usually opens 30 minutes before the external gates.
Who is on the bill?
The event page says Iron Maiden announced the dates of their Run For Your Lives World Tour and describes it as a celebration of the band’s 50th anniversary and their eighth tour of Australia. It says the band’s first visit to Australia was in November 1982, at the Capitol Theatre in Sydney. The page says the tour plays outdoor stadiums for the first time in Melbourne and Sydney, and arenas in Adelaide and Brisbane. It describes the setlist as songs from the band’s first nine albums.
The page says the band are bringing Megadeth as their “very special guests” for the shows. It does not list a separate support act.

What do the packages include?
The event page lists three packages and refers readers to Ticketek for the full terms.
| Package | What the page lists |
|---|---|
| Megadeth VIP Photo Op Experience | One premium reserved ticket or general admission pit ticket; a pre-show individual photo with Megadeth taken by the VIP host, with the photo link emailed to the purchaser 7 to 10 days after the event; early entry; Megadeth VIP merchandise; access to buy Megadeth memorabilia; a commemorative laminate and lanyard |
| The Trooper Pre-Show Party | One premium reserved seat; a VIP pre-show party with light canapes and snacks, complimentary beers and ready-to-drink spirits for the length of the party, and a live DJ; a merchandise pack; crowd-free access to merchandise stands; VIP accreditation; a VIP entry lane |
| The Trooper Early Entry | One general admission standing ticket; a merchandise pack; early access to the floor; a VIP entry lane; VIP staff on the day |
The page explains early entry as first access to the venue after Iron Maiden Fan Club members at the barrier and Trooper Early Entry package holders, after which general admission patrons may join. It says the commemorative laminates are souvenirs and do not give access to the venue or backstage areas, and that seating location availability depends on the venue. The pre-show party does not give a start time on the event page, so check the Ticketek terms for it.

Can I catch the train to Boondall on the night?
On the information Translink has published, yes. Translink’s notice says there will be evening track closures from 7:45pm on the Shorncliffe line to allow testing of the new European Train Control System, and that during these closures “trains will not run between Northgate and Shorncliffe stations”. The November list reads as follows.
| November evening closures (from 7:45pm) | Relation to the show |
|---|---|
| Monday 2 to Thursday 5 November | Before the shows |
| Monday 9 and Tuesday 10 November | Before the shows |
| Thursday 12 November | Before the shows |
| Monday 16 and Tuesday 17 November | The two nights before the first show |
| Wednesday 18 and Thursday 19 November | Not on the list (show nights) |
| Monday 23 and Tuesday 24 November | After the shows |
| Thursday 26 November, Monday 30 November | After the shows |
The notice was last reviewed on 23 October 2026 and says dates can change, so open it again in the week of the show. On a listed night, the notice says Shorncliffe line trains continue between Northgate and Roma Street and railbuses replace trains between Northgate and Shorncliffe, with Boondall on the railbus leg. The venue’s own page adds that, because of the finishing time of some events, some scheduled services leaving Boondall may not make connecting services. The notice does not say when the last train leaves, so check the journey planner for the trip home before you commit to the train.

What happens to the stations on a closure night?
Boondall is the station the venue lists as a 600m walk from the Centre. On a closure night Translink says railbus R348 stops at all stations between Northgate and Shorncliffe and departs about every 30 minutes, and that bikes and e-scooters are not allowed on railbuses. The photos below show two other stations on the line, which would be on the same railbus leg.

Is travel free with a ticket, and what is the fare?
Translink’s event transport list read on 2 November had pages for events at Suncorp Stadium, the Gabba, Nissan Arena and others, but none for Iron Maiden, so no free event travel is listed for this night. Translink’s fares pages say a journey costs 50 cents regardless of distance and payment method, as of October 2026; our go card and contactless guide covers how to pay. Translink is on 13 12 30, 24 hours a day.
How much is parking, and where do I pay?
The venue says parking is $18.00 per visit, payable to the car park attendant on entry, card only, and that the price can change without notice. The charge applies to all vehicles, including cars, motorbikes and scooters. The venue asks you to arrive early or share a vehicle with friends to reduce delays, and to follow the attendants’ directions.
| Question | What the venue says |
|---|---|
| Price | $18.00 per visit, all vehicles |
| How to pay | To the attendant on entry, card only |
| Which roads | The Gateway Motorway and Bicentennial Road, off Sandgate Road |
| Taxi | On-site rank beside the Ticketek Box Office, with a supervisor after the show |
| Ride-share | Pick-up and drop-off in Carpark 5; ask staff for directions |
| Drop-off zone | Inside the grounds, short stays only |
| Coaches | Charter bus and coach parking is free; oversized vehicles pay the $18.00 rate |
| Accessible parking | Close to the accessible turnstile entrances; display a current disability parking permit; the $18.00 still applies |
The venue’s Getting Here page has links titled Driving Directions and Toll Roads and Payment Options, which we did not open, so check tolls on your route before you set off. For live road conditions, see QLDTraffic.
Who can go, and are there age limits?
The event page says it is an all ages event and that every patron must hold a valid event ticket. It recommends that general admission standing floor patrons aged 15 or under be accompanied or supervised by an adult. The venue’s conditions of entry say that people who arrive late may not be admitted until there is a suitable break in the show.
What can I bring in?
The venue’s FAQs and conditions of entry set these rules, which apply to most events; the event page does not list a different bag policy for this night.
- Bags larger than an A4 sheet of paper are not permitted for most events. All bags are subject to a security search before entry, and the conditions of entry say that, depending on the event, metal detectors and pat-downs may also be used.
- One sealed 600mL plastic bottle of water per person is allowed. Other food and drink cannot be brought in.
- Signs and banners larger than an A3 sheet are not allowed.
- Professional cameras, tablets larger than 170mm, drones, selfie sticks and tripods are not allowed.
- Prams cannot go into the seating bowl; they can be stored at the free cloakroom beside the Ticketek Box Office.
- The venue is cashless. Cash can be exchanged for a Cash Card at the venue.
The conditions of entry also say anyone wearing clothing with offensive text or images can be refused entry, and that everyone must be fully dressed and wear shoes.

What help is there for accessibility and medical needs?
Accessible seating is in the main seating bowl, and the venue says to say you need it when you buy tickets. Bookings go through the venue’s online accessibility form or by email to tix@brisent.com.au, which the venue says is monitored from 9am to 5pm on weekdays, so contact it well before the show. Government-issued Companion Card holders get a free carer ticket if it is booked at the time of purchase, and the cardholder collects it from the Box Office on the day. Mobility aid charging stations are on Levels 1 and 2, and Sunflower lanyards, used to show a hidden disability, can be collected from Administration on Level 1.
The venue’s FAQs list a Parents Room on the main concourse (Level 2) opposite Door 8, and first aid rooms opposite Doors 3 and 12 on Level 2. Patrons who need to bring medical supplies are asked to register the date they are attending by emailing bec@brisent.com.au or calling (07) 3265 8111.
Where can I buy tickets, and what should I check on the day?
The event page says tickets are on sale through Ticketek and warns against buying from unauthorised resale websites because of the risk of invalid or fraudulent tickets. The venue’s conditions of entry say tickets bought from unauthorised sellers can lead to refused entry.
On the day, check three things: the email from Ticketek with the event information, Translink’s service updates for any change to the Shorncliffe line closures, and the venue’s event page for a changed start time. For another show at the same venue, see our guide to Joji at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on 11 November, which covers the same parking and train notice.
