Parking at Gosford Hospital is free for the first 30 minutes, then $8.70 up to 1 hour, and the most you pay in a day is $25.80, as of November 2026. Secure Parking runs all of the hospital’s car parks for the Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD), and its office is on level 4 of the P1 car park.
This guide follows the district’s own parking page and getting here page. We read both on Saturday 7 November 2026. Where the pages say nothing, this guide says so rather than guessing.
How much does it cost to park at Gosford Hospital?
| Time parked | Charge |
|---|---|
| 0 to 30 minutes | Free |
| 30 minutes to 1 hour | $8.70 |
| 1 to 2 hours | $12.80 |
| 2 to 3 hours | $17.30 |
| 3 to 4 hours | $20.10 |
| 4 to 5 hours | $23.20 |
| Over 5 hours | $25.80 |
| Lost ticket | $25.80 |
| Maximum daily fee | $25.80 |
The charge steps up at each hour. A 45-minute visit costs $8.70, a stay of up to 2 hours costs $12.80, and anything past 5 hours costs the daily maximum. The district’s page lists one fee table and does not give a separate weekend or night rate. If you lose your ticket, the charge is the same as the daily maximum.

Which car park should I use, P1 or P2?
Gosford Hospital has two multistorey car parks, and both are managed by Secure Parking. The district describes them like this:
| P1 | P2 | |
|---|---|---|
| Street | Hospital Road (North), entered via Racecourse Road | Off Showground Road |
| Height limit | 1.85 metres | 2.2 metres |
| Public parking | Multistorey | The lower levels |
| Pay or validate | Machines on Level 4 and Level 1 | Not stated on the page |
| Drop-off | A limited number of 10-minute drop-off and pick-up spaces on Level 4 | 10-minute drop-off and pick-up zone out the front |
| To the Main Entry | Take the car park lift to Level 4 and follow the signs | Take the lift to Level 6 and follow the signs |
P1 has a 1.85 metre height limit and P2 has 2.2 metres. Accessible parking spaces are provided on all levels of P2. The district also says all parking zones in the hospital are shared pedestrian and vehicle zones.
Where do I drop someone off?
The area outside the Emergency Department is a drop-off and pick-up area. The district says it is mainly for patients attending for urgent medical treatment. You can set the vehicle down briefly, take the patient into the hospital, then find a space in the P1 car park next door. Some short-term spaces there are reserved for people with disabilities.
For a planned appointment, the 10-minute zones on P1 Level 4 and in front of P2 are the options the district lists.
How do I pay?
Parking ticket validation and payment machines are on Level 4 and Level 1 of the P1 car park. The district’s page does not describe the pay method for P2. Secure Parking’s office is on level 4 of P1, and that is also where concessional tickets are validated.

Who can get the concession rate?
NSW Health sets concessional car parking at all public hospital car parks where fees apply. The NSW Health factsheet, last updated on 4 November 2026, lists these groups:
- Patients and their carers who require treatment over a period of time
- Patients and their carers attending more than twice weekly, including carers of long-term patients who visit often
- Holders of an RMS-issued Mobility Parking Scheme permit
- Holders of a Pensioner Concession Card
- Holders of a Gold Veterans Affairs Card
- Holders of a Health Care Card
- Ongoing cancer treatment patients
- Patients and carers who must attend for a course of treatment longer than one week
- Cardiac rehabilitation education and exercise class attendees
- Daily dressing outpatients
- Health Promotion education class attendees
The factsheet adds that patients and carers who are experiencing financial hardship, but do not fit the listed groups, are also entitled to concessional parking.
What does the concession cost, and where is it validated?
The concession fees are the maximum a hospital can charge, effective from 1 July 2026:
| Ticket | Charge |
|---|---|
| 0 to 3 hours | Free |
| Single visit (one entry and one exit only) | $7.20 |
| 3-day ticket (multiple entries and exits to the hospital campus) | $14.40 |
| 7-day ticket (multiple entries and exits to the hospital campus) | $28.80 |
At Gosford, the district says you can get the concessional rate by validating your ticket at the car park office on Level 4 of the P1 car park, at the Cancer Centre, the Cancer Day Unit or the Renal Units. After hours, tickets can be validated at the hospital’s Patient Enquiries desk. The district’s page does not say which ticket applies to which treatment.

Can I get to Gosford Hospital by train or bus?
Yes. The hospital is within walking distance of Gosford Station. The district gives these directions: leave the station by the exit on the left-hand side to reach Showground Road, turn right, and walk about 300 metres until you are in front of the green P2 car park. Cross the road, enter the car park, and take the lifts to Level 6. From the lifts, follow the covered path straight ahead to the hospital’s main entrance.
By bus, routes 32 and 34 run between Gosford Station and the corner of Racecourse Road and Holden Street, opposite Gosford High School. The district calls it a short walk from there to the hospital. For times, the district points to the Transport for NSW Trip Planner and to the Busways and Red Bus route maps.

Where is the Emergency Department and the Outpatients entrance?
Gosford Hospital is on Showground Road, Gosford. The Emergency Department is on Ambulance Road, off Holden Street North. The Outpatients Department is on Level 4 of the main tower (J4). The district publishes site maps under “Finding your way around” for each of its facilities.
What are the visiting hours?
General visiting hours at Gosford, Wyong and Woy Woy hospitals are 10am to 8pm, according to the district’s visiting hours page. A few services differ:
| Service | Arrangement |
|---|---|
| Emergency Department | One person can accompany you; a child patient is accompanied by one parent or guardian |
| Gosford Maternity Ward | Standard hours, with a rest period from 1pm to 3pm each day when only partners may visit |
| Gosford Special Care Nursery | Both parents or primary caregivers any time; siblings during standard hours |
| Gosford Paediatric Inpatient Unit | Standard hours; a maximum of two people at a time, not counting siblings |
| Mental health | 3pm to 8pm Monday to Friday; 10am to 8pm on weekends and public holidays |
What about Wyong, Woy Woy and Long Jetty?
The district lists parking for its other sites on the same page. Public parking at Wyong Hospital (Pacific Highway, Hamlyn Terrace) is in the car park at the front of the main entrance, with accessible spaces outside the main entrance. Woy Woy Hospital (Ocean Beach Road) has several options, including outside the main entrance and next to the Rehabilitation Unit and the Transitional Care Unit. Long Jetty Healthcare Centre (Wyong Road, Killarney Vale) has its main parking at the front of the entrances. The pages do not state a fee for these three, so this guide does not give one.

Is there cheaper parking nearby?
This guide only covers the hospital’s own car parks. The council’s Gosford City car park has its own fees and hours, set out in our Gosford City car park guide. It is in the city centre, not on the hospital campus.
