Parking at Logan Hospital in Meadowbrook is free for the first 15 minutes and then costs $3 up to an hour, $5 up to two hours and $13 for anything from six to 24 hours; drive into the P1 multi-level car park off Armstrong Road. Every figure here comes from Metro South Health’s Logan Hospital page, which it marked as last updated in September 2026, and which was read on 7 November 2026.
Queensland has no daylight saving, so all times are Brisbane time. The hospital’s pages give no separate charge for nights or weekends, so the table below is the whole price list as published.
Where do I park at Logan Hospital?
For general access and parking, the hospital says to use the main entrance on Armstrong Road. The car park there is called P1. It is a multi-level building near the main hospital, and a walkway on the third level leads across to the main hospital buildings. Vehicles up to 2.2 metres high can use it, so a tall van or a roof box may not fit; measure before you drive in.
The emergency department has its own entrances, on Loganlea Road and on Armstrong Road. Couriers are told to use the Armstrong Road entrance and then go to the supply department.
| Place | What the hospital says |
|---|---|
| P1 multi-level car park, Armstrong Road | Main visitor car park, third-level walkway to the hospital, vehicles up to 2.2 metres |
| Street parking | Available around the hospital; the hospital gives no rules or time limits, so read the signs |
| Accessible parking | In the multi-level car park; an Australian or international disability parking permit must be displayed |
| Drop-off and pick-up areas | Two outside the main building; you can only stop for a few minutes |
| Maternity drop-off | 24-hour zone outside the Logan Maternity entrance on Armstrong Road |
| P2, Transit Care Hub | Free for up to 30 minutes, for discharge pick-ups |

How much does Logan Hospital parking cost?
| Time in the car park | Cost |
|---|---|
| 0 to 15 minutes | Free |
| 15 to 60 minutes | $3.00 |
| 1 to 2 hours | $5.00 |
| 2 to 3 hours | $7.00 |
| 3 to 4 hours | $9.00 |
| 4 to 6 hours | $11.00 |
| 6 to 24 hours | $13.00 |
| Motorbike flat rate | $5.00 |
Prices as of November 2026, from the hospital’s published list. A few examples from that table: a quick outpatient appointment that runs 90 minutes costs $5; a visit of two and a half hours costs $7; a long emergency department wait that passes four hours but ends before six costs $11. A motorbike pays a flat $5 whatever the time.
The bands are steep at the bottom and flat at the top. After six hours the price stops rising until 24 hours, so a day-long stay costs $13 whether you leave at hour seven or hour twenty. If you only need to drop someone at the door, the free 15 minutes in P1 or the short stop in a drop-off area costs nothing, though the drop-off areas are for a few minutes only.

How do I pay for parking?
The hospital lists three places for pay stations: in the car park, outside the Fresh+ Cafe in Building 1, and at the emergency department. You can pay by cash or credit card. You can also pay by credit card at the boom gate on the way out, which means you do not have to find a pay station if you are in a hurry.
The hospital’s page does not mention debit cards, phone wallets or an app, so do not assume they work; carry cash or a credit card to be safe. It also does not say what happens if you lose your ticket.
Who can get cheaper parking at Logan Hospital?
The hospital offers concessional parking. It says you may be eligible if you are:
- going to hospital at least twice a week for more than two weeks in a row
- in hospital for 14 days or more in a row
- over 65 and receiving an Age Pension
- caring for a patient and receiving a Carer Payment
- dealing with financial problems or have special needs
To apply, fill in the Concessional Parking Application Form (a PDF on the hospital’s page) and take it to the Main Reception desk in Building 1, open Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm. If you qualify, staff sign the form and validate your parking ticket.
The form does not cover you on its own. Bring the approved form and your parking ticket to reception on every visit, and staff will validate the ticket so you pay the discounted rate when you leave. Validation is available at reception desks in Building 1, in the outpatient departments in Buildings 1 and 2, in the allied health outpatient department in Building 1, in the emergency department, and at the car park office on the ground level of the multi-level car park. The hospital does not publish the discounted prices on this page, so ask at reception.

Where do I wait when someone is being discharged?
When a patient is ready to go home, the hospital moves them to its Transit Care Hub, where they wait for discharge medicines and a pick-up. Outside the hub, in the P2 car park, there is free short-term parking for up to 30 minutes. If you need longer there is a fee. If the person picking up is running late, the hospital suggests they phone the hub on 07 3299 9159.
Thirty minutes is generous compared with the 15 free minutes in P1, but it only applies to P2 outside the hub. Do not leave a car there for a long visit.
What is the new car park being built?
Metro South says a new eight-level car park is being built to support the Logan Hospital Expansion. It says construction will have minimal impact on patient and visitor parking, and that existing car parks and the pick-up and drop-off areas will remain open. No opening date appears on the page, and nothing there changes the prices above. If a change affects the car parks, the hospital’s own page is where it will show first.
Can I take the train or a bus to Logan Hospital?
Yes. The hospital says the closest train station is Loganlea, about 500 metres away. It says the closest bus station is about 50 metres away on Armstrong Road, and that routes include the 560 to Loganholme and the 562 to Beenleigh. It sends travellers to the Translink journey planner or 13 12 30; for TTY, call 13 36 77 and ask for 13 12 30.
| How you travel | Closest stop | Distance |
|---|---|---|
| Train | Loganlea station | About 500 metres |
| Bus | Bus station on Armstrong Road (routes include 560 and 562) | About 50 metres |

This guide did not check train or bus times, which change by day. Add the walk from the station to your appointment time, especially if you are unwell or carrying things, because 500 metres is a short walk but not a short one for everyone.

Are there taxis?
The hospital lists two taxi services: Black and White Cabs on 13 32 22 and 13cabs on 13 22 27. It also offers a hospital map as a PDF showing building entrances, car parks, drop-off areas and pay stations; download it before a first visit.
