The reason, whether the other Australian dates are affected, and how refunds will work; the venue’s page says none of this

Daniel Caesar’s Brisbane Entertainment Centre show, due on Thursday 12 November 2026, is marked “Event Cancelled” on the venue’s website. The word appears at the top of the event page and again on the venue’s list of events, where Charlie Puth’s Brisbane date is marked the same way. The page does not say why, and it does not say how ticket holders will be refunded.

An earlier version of this guide, published on 31 October, covered how to get to the show and assumed it would go ahead. This version replaces it. It is based on the venue’s event page and its What’s On list, both read on Wednesday 4 November 2026, and on Translink’s notice about evening track closures on the Shorncliffe line. Brisbane is on Queensland time (AEST, UTC+10), which has no daylight saving.

What does the venue say?

Very little beyond the status. The event page for Daniel Caesar carries “Event Cancelled” twice above the promoter line, which names Live Nation. Below that, the page still shows the original description of his album Son Of Spergy, the age policy, the VIP package list and the transport notes. Those are left over from when the show was on sale, so read them as the old listing, not as current arrangements.

The page does not give a reason, a refund process or a date for any announcement. It also says nothing about Daniel Caesar’s other Australian dates, so this guide makes no claim about them. For those, check the promoter and the ticket agent for each city.

What should ticket holders do about refunds?

The venue’s page does not set out a refund process, so there is nothing official to quote here. The old listing said tickets were on sale through Ticketek and sent buyers to the Ticketek website for full terms and conditions, so Ticketek is the first place to look. Check the email address you booked with, because the venue said it would email event information to the registered Ticketek purchaser, and a cancellation notice would normally go to the same address. This is a general pointer, not a statement from the venue about what has been sent.

The old listing also warned against buying from unauthorised resale websites, saying buyers risk invalid or fraudulent tickets. If you bought a VIP package, the old listing said to refer to the Ticketek website for its terms, and the three packages it named were the Son of Spergy Band Soundcheck Package, the Who Knows Early Entry VIP Package and the Rain Down Premium VIP Package. Treat any message that asks you to pay again or share card details to claim a refund with suspicion, and go to Ticketek’s own site yourself rather than following a link in a message.

Is the Shorncliffe line still closed that night?

Translink’s notice on evening track closures lists Thursday 12 November among the November nights when trains do not run between Northgate and Shorncliffe stations from 7:45pm, with railbus R348 replacing them. The closures are for testing a new signalling system, not for this concert, so they stand even though the show does not. The notice was last reviewed on Friday 23 October 2026 and says closures may change, so check it again before you travel on the line that night. Translink is on 13 12 30, 24 hours a day.

The rest of the November closure list, from 7:45pm, is Monday 2 to Thursday 5, Monday 9 and Tuesday 10, Thursday 12, Monday 16 and Tuesday 17, Monday 23 and Tuesday 24, Thursday 26 and Monday 30 November. The railbus stops at all stations between Northgate and Shorncliffe and departs about every 30 minutes, according to Translink.

What else is on at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre?

The venue’s What’s On list on 4 November showed the following events after Daniel Caesar’s date. Times are the venue’s, and it marks each one “time subject to change”.

Date Event Time
Wednesday 11 November Joji 8:00pm
Sunday 15 November Brisbane Bullets v Tasmania JackJumpers 4:00pm
Wednesday 18 and Thursday 19 November Iron Maiden 6:30pm
Sunday 22 November Brisbane Bullets v Sydney Kings 4:00pm
Wednesday 25 November J. Cole 8:00pm

We have getting-there guides for three of them: Joji on 11 November, Iron Maiden on 18 and 19 November and J. Cole on 25 November. On the venue’s list, Daniel Caesar and Charlie Puth sit between Gabriel Iglesias and the Bullets game, both marked cancelled; no date is shown for either.

Where will any update appear?

The first place is the venue’s event page, which is where the “Event Cancelled” label appeared, and the second is the Ticketek order you bought through. The venue’s contact number is (07) 3265 8111 and its email is bec@brisent.com.au, both listed on its own pages. We will update this page if the venue or the promoter publishes the reason or refund terms. Until then, the only fact the venue has published is the status.
