Daniel Caesar plays Afterpay Arena at Sydney Olympic Park on Thursday 5 and Friday 6 November 2026, and the trackwork is different on each night. Transport for NSW says that on Thursday, Inner West trains do not run between Strathfield and Central from 9:40pm to 1:30am, and that on Friday, trains do not run around the City Circle from 10:40pm. The show finishes at 10:15pm both nights, so the late changes land right on the trip home. Sydney is on daylight saving time (AEDT) in November, so all times here are Sydney time.

This guide is based on the Transport for NSW event page, read on 27 October 2026. The page lists doors at 7pm, the start at 8pm and the finish at 10:15pm each night. It does not name a support act.

How do I get to Olympic Park by train?

The closest station to Afterpay Arena is Olympic Park. Trains run regularly to Lidcombe, where you walk to Platform Zero for a direct train to Olympic Park, running every 10 minutes until late. On both nights, two extra trains run to help you get to the show:

Leaves Time Stops
Blacktown 5:34pm Parramatta, Lidcombe, then Olympic Park
Liverpool 5:45pm Cabramatta, Fairfield, Granville, Lidcombe, then Olympic Park

On Sydney Metro, the M1 line runs turn-up-and-go services between Tallawong, Chatswood and Bankstown from early morning until late. Change at Epping, Central or Bankstown for trains towards Lidcombe, then Olympic Park.

What changes on Thursday 5 November?

Transport for NSW lists these changes from 9:40pm to 1:30am on Thursday, which covers the end of the show at 10:15pm:

Line What changes
T1 Western Penrith trains run to a changed timetable and make extra stops at some stations between Parramatta and Ashfield.
T2 Leppington and Inner West Inner West trains do not run. Trains run between Leppington and Olympic Park. Change at Lidcombe to continue towards the City.
T3 Liverpool and Inner West Inner West trains do not run. Trains run between Liverpool and Lidcombe only. Change at Lidcombe to continue your journey.
T8 Airport and South Trains between Sydenham and the City Circle run to a changed timetable.
T9 Northern Trains run to a changed timetable and stop at all stations between Ashfield and Macdonaldtown.

For T2 and T3, you will need to change trains if you are travelling to Museum, St James or Circular Quay. Outside the show hours, the page also lists daytime South Coast Line buses between Port Kembla and Wollongong from 9:20am to 2:10pm on Thursday, which does not affect the Olympic Park trip.

What changes on Friday 6 November?

From 10:40pm on Friday, trains do not run around the City Circle but continue to run between Central, Town Hall and Wynyard, continuing to T1 North Shore Line stations. For travel to Circular Quay, St James or Museum, the page says to use light rail, local buses or walk. Other lines are affected from 10:40pm unless noted:

Line What changes
T2 Leppington and Inner West Changed timetable and stopping between Leppington or Homebush and North Sydney. Some trains start or end at Central, platforms 1 to 14.
T3 Liverpool and Inner West Changed timetable and stopping between Liverpool and North Sydney.
T4 Eastern Suburbs and Illawarra Some trains make an extra stop at St Peters and Erskineville.
T8 Airport and South Trains via the Airport start and end at Central. T8 trains do not run between Sydenham and the City.
T9 Northern Trains make an extra stop at Ashfield.
Central Coast and Newcastle Buses replace the 1:47am Central to Newcastle Interchange service from Central to Hornsby.

The T8 entry also says T4 trains run between Sydenham and Bondi Junction, making extra stops at St Peters and Erskineville. Check the Transport for NSW alerts page before you leave, because timetables for these works can be updated.

Do I need an Opal card?

Yes, or a contactless card or device. Transport for NSW says you need an Opal card or contactless payment card or device on public transport to and from the event, and suggests registering your details online or in the Opal Travel app first. Adult Opal fare pricing applies, with daily and weekly fare caps. Our Opal fares guide covers the prices.

Which buses, ferries and light rail connect?

Three route buses run towards Olympic Park: route 525 between Parramatta and Lidcombe (connect with trains), route 526 between Strathfield and Rhodes Shopping Centre via the precinct and wharf, and route 533 between Sydney Olympic Park and Chatswood via Rhodes and North Ryde.

The closest ferry stop is Sydney Olympic Park Wharf. The 526 bus connects to the venue, or the page puts the walk at about 40 minutes (3.6km). F3 Parramatta River ferries are very popular and may reach capacity, and low tide between Parramatta and Rydalmere may mean buses replace them. On light rail, change at Central from L1, L2 or L3 for trains to Lidcombe then Olympic Park; from L4, alight at Parramatta Square and take a train towards Lidcombe from Parramatta station.

Can I park at Sydney Olympic Park?

Yes, with a booking. Transport for NSW says to pre-book parking online, available until 11:59pm the night before the event unless sold out earlier, and that a flat rate of $40 applies. With a pre-booked space, follow staff directions and have your parking ticket ready at the car park entry. Without one, follow the variable message signs in Sydney Olympic Park to the best available casual parking. The page suggests carpooling and allowing plenty of extra travel time.

Traffic will be heavier than usual on roads approaching the precinct during the evening peak, and the page names the M4, Parramatta Road, Homebush Bay Drive and Concord Road. Live conditions are on Live Traffic NSW.

Where do taxis and rideshare go?

The nearest taxi rank is on Herb Elliott Avenue near the Pullman Hotel. Transport for NSW says roads may be closed within the precinct, so allow plenty of extra time before and after the show, and choose a pick-up location away from the immediate area around the stadium. Sydney Olympic Park Authority closes some local roads for extra public transport and pedestrian safety; the event page does not list them and points to the Sydney Olympic Park interactive map, which we have not seen.

Is there accessible travel?

Transport for NSW says accessible trips are shown in the Trip Planner with the wheelchair icon. Select “accessible services only” in the options and the planner shows only trips with accessible train platforms, ferry wharves and buses.
