If you are going to Dermot Kennedy at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on Sunday 22 November 2026, the show is listed for 7:30pm in the Theatre, with all doors open at 6:00pm. The tram from the city centre to the Centre is free, and the Centre accepts card only for parking. Adelaide is on daylight saving in November (UTC+10:30), and every time below is local Adelaide time.

This guide is from the Centre’s own Dermot Kennedy event page and its Getting Here, Venue FAQs and Accessibility pages, read on 4 November 2026.

What time does the show start, and when do the doors open?

The event page gives this running order for Sunday 22 November in the Theatre. It says running times are approximate and may be subject to change.

Time What happens
4:00pm Box office opens
4:30pm Car park opens
6:00pm All doors open
7:30pm Show start

The page names no support act and does not list set times. The Centre says set times for concerts are provided by the promoter or venue hirer, and it publishes them on the event page as soon as they are available, as a guide only.

Who is playing?

The event page says Dermot Kennedy returns to Australia on The Weight of the Woods Tour, with a stop in the Centre’s Theatre. It describes him as a multi-platinum singer-songwriter working on his third full-length album, The Weight of the Woods, with producer Gabe Simon. It says his first release, Without Fear, became the best-selling debut album in Ireland in 2019, and names his second album Sonder and the EP “I’ve told the trees everything”. The page names no support act.

Where do I buy tickets, and what do they cost?

The event page warns that people who search for the Centre’s tickets on Google or other search engines can be sent to a resale site that looks official, and that only tickets bought from Ticketek are valid at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre. Prices on the event page, as of 4 November 2026, include GST, and service and handling fees and delivery fees may apply:

Ticket Price
General Admission $142.50
VIP Early Entry $305.45

The VIP Early Entry package includes one General Admission standing ticket, early entry into the venue before the general public, a Dermot Kennedy VIP tour gift, a commemorative VIP tour laminate and lanyard, early access to select merchandise stands where available, and a designated VIP check-in with on-site staff. The event page also says babes in arms, meaning children under 3 on the knee, are free.

How much is parking at the Centre?

The Centre has more than 1,400 on-site car parking spaces, reached via Mary Street, Manton Street or Adam Street only. The Getting Here page lists an event parking rate of $19 (prices correct as of 3 June 2026, GST inclusive). The Dermot Kennedy event page does not list parking, so the Getting Here page is the source for that rate. The Centre accepts card only for all on-site charges, including parking, food and drinks; all cards are accepted with no surcharges. After major events, the Centre asks drivers to allow extra time for delays leaving the car park.

Access to the Centre is through three entrances, and the Centre asks you to check your ticket for your designated entry. The Getting Here page links a venue map with the entrances.

Is there a free tram?

Yes. A free tram service runs daily between the Adelaide Entertainment Centre and the city centre, with frequent services in peak travel periods. The Entertainment Centre Tram Stop is immediately in front of the Centre on Port Road. The Centre says additional tram services are often provided on event days, but it has not announced any for this show.

What about the train, buses and taxis?

Option What the Centre says
Train Bowden Railway Station is about 150 metres from the Centre, with easy pedestrian access
Bus Bus stops are 50 to 80 metres from the Centre; buses 150 and 157 pass directly
Taxi Ranks are on both sides of Port Road near the main entry; a designated taxi zone is on Port Road before the traffic lights when travelling west, in front of the main entrance
Ride-share and private vehicles A drop-off zone is on Port Road after the traffic lights when travelling west, in front of the Theatre, with a maximum stop of 2 minutes
Bicycle Rails are in front of the Centre; bring your own lock, and parking is at your own risk

The Centre says that during peak event times, all areas around the Centre may be congested, and it recommends allowing extra time. It also suggests planning your Adelaide Metro journey in advance.

What can I bring in?

Bags must fit comfortably under your seat, and bags or backpacks larger than A3 (40cm x 30cm) are strictly prohibited. The Centre has no bag storage on site, and all bags, including those carrying medical equipment, are inspected on arrival.

Video cameras, monopods, tripods, selfie sticks, audio recording devices and professional cameras, meaning those with telephoto or zoom lenses, are not permitted. The Centre also says some artists prefer a phone-free show, in which case details are published on the event page; this event page does not say so. Concerts can include flashing lights, laser, strobe, confetti, haze and pyrotechnics, and the Centre points anyone with questions about a specific event to its contact team. Free earplugs are available from staff. The Centre is a non-smoking venue.

What food and drink is on sale?

The Centre has fixed and mobile food and drink outlets for Arena and Theatre events in the foyers and other public spaces, with confectionery, soft drinks and alcoholic drinks. Food items are limited to baguettes, hot chips, wedges, pizza slices, burgers, hot dogs, pies, pasties and sausage rolls, and the range can vary from event to event. The Theatre has a merchandise stand with EFTPOS, if merchandise is offered at your event. All on-site food and drink outlets in the Theatre are wheelchair accessible.

What accessibility options are there?

Accessible seating, including wheelchair and mobility-restricted seating and seats for companions, is available in the Theatre and is bought by choosing the Accessible filter on the Ticketek event page, subject to availability at the time of booking. The Centre is a Companion Card affiliate. Wheelchair access to the Theatre is at Door 1 on ground level, and via Door 3, Door 4 and Door 5 by way of the ramp that serves the Theatre Terrace. For events in the Theatre, a hearing assistance FM system can be tuned in at 88.1FM with your own analog FM receiver.

The Centre says retractable, tiered bleacher seating may be used at the very rear of the Theatre for select events, and patrons who book those seats must climb stairs. For event days, accessible parking must be pre-booked during business hours (Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm), through the Centre’s team on (08) 8208 2222 or an online enquiry. Have your Disability Parking Permit number ready; standard parking rates apply and spaces are subject to availability. The Theatre has a first aid room in its foyer.
